Clinic Nurse

Jessica Staples serves as clinical nurse for the practice. In this position she meets all patients with Dr. Chiasson, schedules all reconstructive surgery cases, provides pre-operative instructions and post-surgical care. She particularly loves assisting Dr. Chiasson with all of the surgery performed in the onsite procedure room. Jessica has twelve years of surgical experience and is dedicated to delivering the highest quality patient care. Her previous position was charge nurse and orthopedic surgery team leader on the Operating Room at Our Lady of the Lake Children’s Hospital. She has also served as charge nurse and circulator in the Operating room at the Orthopedic Surgery Center and worked as a Labor and Delivery nurse at Woman’s Hospital. In all of these positions she exhibited a commitment to patient safety.

She has loved learning about the wide variety of surgical procedures Dr. Chiasson performs and has been an enthusiastic participant in Dr. Reilley’s suture classes. Her future goals include becoming a certified First Assistant.

 Jessica is a lifelong Baton rouge Resident. She and her family enjoy outdoor activities and sports in Louisiana. They recently purchased a weekend fishing camp in Grand Isle which they have named The Freckled Trout.
