Avéli Cellulite Treatment
in Baton Rouge, LA
At Ford Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, we are proud to be the only provider of Avéli™in Baton Rouge.
Millions of women are embarrassed by cellulite. Dieting, exercise, and body scrubs don’t prevent or treat cellulite. Why? Because they don’t address the cause of the cellulite dimples: fibrous septa under the skin.
We are committed to offering our patients the latest and most innovative cosmetic treatments available, and Avéli™ is a groundbreaking nonsurgical solution for women seeking real, lasting cellulite reduction.
If you are struggling with visible cellulite and looking for a nonsurgical treatment that delivers noticeable results, Avéli™ can address it from the inside out.
What is Avéli?
Avéli™ is a minimally invasive, FDA-cleared cellulite treatment designed to address the structural cause of cellulite from the inside out.
Unlike creams or temporary solutions, Avéli’s unique approach targets the fibrous septa bands beneath the skin that pull downward and create the appearance of dimples. During treatment Dr. Chiasson, identifies, releases, and confirm the release of these bands in real time for a personalized and precise approach. No more wondering “will it work?” With Avéli™, you can achieve a meaningful and lasting reduction of cellulite dimples after a single in-office visit.
This single in-office procedure is designed to smooth cellulite on the buttocks and thighs, with results that can be seen after just one treatment. Each dimple is treated once, however depending on the size of the area to be treated and the number of dimples, the procedure may be spread over multiple visits.
Because Avéli™ is derived from a natural fat matrix, it integrates seamlessly with existing tissue and provides long-lasting results. It can be used to enhance proportions, correct irregularities, and improve symmetry in various areas, including:
Gluteal projection (buttocks enhancement)
Hip Dip Correction
Breast contouring, upper pole enhancement
Improving breast shape, asymmetry, and visible implant rippling
Scar correction and contour irregularities

Avéli - Before & After
Inside the Avéli Cellulite Treatment Process
Ask The Expert
Dr. Kate Chaisson
-
Cellulite cannot be solved with a topical treatment. It's an anatomical condition under the skin that appears when stiff, tough, fibrous bands between the skin and muscle pull on the skin to create dents, divots, and dimples. Cellulite can be addressed by releasing the bands from the inside out to create a visibly smoother appearance.
This procedure provides long-term, visible reduction of cellulite dents, dimples and divots in the buttock and thighs.
-
The injection portion typically takes 30–60 minutes, with additional time for consultation and preparation.
-
Avéli™ is a one-time, in-office procedure designed to deliver long-lasting results after just one treatment. However, depending on the size and quantity of dimples, multiple treatments may be necessary. Some may benefit from a second treatment 3–6 months later for optimal outcomes.
-
Avéli™ provides long-lasting results. Longevity varies depending on metabolism, lifestyle, and treatment area, but unlike synthetic fillers, it integrates with your tissue for more durable enhancement. While the treated bands do not “grow back,” the natural aging process and body changes can affect your skin over time.
-
Avéli™ is manufactured in accordance with FDA guidelines for human tissue products, meeting strict standards for donor screening, processing, and sterilization.
-
Most patients returned to normal activities within 24-48 hours.
-
The most common side effects reported were mild pain within the first 24 hours and bruising and tenderness to the touch which typically resolved within 30 days. Small areas of firmness, usually not visible or painful, typically resolved in a couple of months.
-
The results of your procedure should be visible once swelling and bruising subsides. By one month post-procedure you should start to see the effects of the procedure.
-
Yes, Avéli™ can be combined with treatments such as Aveli for cellulite reduction, other body contouring treatments, or surgical procedures to enhance results.

Pricing varies based on treatment areas and the amount of product required. A personalized quote will be provided during your consultation. Financing options are available.

The ideal candidate should be in good health, at an ideal body weight, show no signs of infections in the treatment area, and have realistic expectations. Avéli™is best for patients who have dimpled cellulite rather than areas of rolling or wavy fat, which is caused by fat pockets rather than bands of septa interacting with fat.
Overweight patients or patients that have had massive weight loss are more than likely not going to be a good candidate for this procedure.
The device specifically targets dimples, but NOT skin laxity (loss of elasticity in the skin), nor fat.
Avéli™ may not be suitable for individuals who:
Are pregnant or breastfeeding
Have active infections in the treatment area
Have certain autoimmune conditions
Are taking blood-thinning medications
Seek dramatic size changes better suited for surgery
-
Traditional fat transfer requires liposuction to harvest fat, which involves surgery, anesthesia, and additional recovery time. Avéli™ eliminates this step by using processed donor fat tissue, making it ideal for patients who prefer a less invasive option or lack sufficient body fat.
-
We recommend our patients ease back into strenuous exercise after a week and wear a compression garment for at least a week and up to 4 weeks after the procedure. Patients may resume swimming or sitting in a hot tub once the tiny incisions have healed (by two weeks after the procedure at the latest).
-
Before the procedure - The procedure typically takes an hour and starts with pre-procedure marking of target treatment areas and capturing of “before” photos.
Patients may take an oral relaxing medication if preferred.
During the procedure - Dr. Chiasson guides the Avéli® cellulite band-release precision wand under the skin to the targeted dents, divots, and dimples. She can see and confirm in real-time the releasing of the bands, delivering visibly smoother skin with long-lasting results
Immediately after the procedure - In the clinical study, most patients returned to normal activities within 24-48 hours. You may experience mild pain within the first 24 hours. Patients may take over the counter medications like tylenol or ibuprofen if needed. Bruising, swelling and tenderness to the touch may also occur, typically resolving within 30 days.
In the days following the procedure - It’s a good idea to wear compressive clothing (e.g., yoga pants) as much as possible for up to 2 weeks after the procedure to help reduce bruising and swelling.
In the following weeks - Avoid extended sun exposure and use sunscreen over the insertion points for the first month after the procedure to prevent pigmentation.
-
Fall and winter are ideal times for cellulite treatment, so you are swimsuit ready, but recovery is minimal so the procedure may be done any time of the year.
